2025 SWIFT XC SEASON BASICS

2026 Cross Country Season : August 26th - December 6th

Cost: Check back in August 2026

Typical Practice Days: Monday/ Tuesday/ Thursday

Typical Practice Time: 6:15pm - 7:30pm (practice times will change as the season progresses)

Cross Country Race Distance By Age :

Your athlete will compete based on the age they will be on Dec. 31, 2026.

For example, if an athlete turns 9 on December 31, 2026, they will be considered 9 for the entire year, even if they are only 8 for most of the year.

While we do not hold tryouts, for safety and coaching bandwidth reasons, we do require that all incoming athletes are capable of running and meeting the following standards to practice and / or compete during our competitive XC season;

8 and under athletes can complete a minimum of 2 mile running without having to stop and walk.
9 and older athletes can complete a minimum of 3 mile running without having to stop and walk.
8 and under athletes can complete a 1 mile run in 12 minutes or faster.
9 to 12 year old athletes can complete a 1 mile run in 10 minutes or faster
13 and older athletes can complete a 1 mile run in 7 minutes or faster
